The Pop 9 fell victim to my suitcase while on vacation this week. The shutter release mechanism seems to be stuck or broken. Anyone have experience with this sort of thing before? I am hesitant to perform surgery on a camera, but it may be the only option.
Recently I acquired a new used Mamiya 35mm to replace my old 35mm. So after a year hiatus of traditional photography I am back in business. I have to dig out my lenses and all my expired film which has since been buried in the closet.
Toy photography is not completely out of the picture. I have a few rolls from my Holga to get developed. So expect some new things from me in the fut
So I heard the news that Polaroid is going out of the instant film business. While I've never worked extensively with Polaroid film, as a lover of toy cameras I can certainly appreciate the work that many artists accomplish using polaroids. In fact, getting a Polaroid camera has been on my to-do list since I watched a local artist demonstrate Polaroid transfers.
So, while Polaroid's busy going digital, I might just go raid my grandma's closet for that old instant film camera, and gobble up a few packs of film while they are still available. Don't get me wrong, digital is great . . . I wouldn't be here typing this blog entry if it weren't
